The Central Ohio Transit Authority (COTA) has launched a six-month pilot initiative called the Income Assistance Program. In order to increase access to COTA’s services for those customers who need them the most, eligible customers will have access to half-price fares through this program.

Residents who have participated in any of the following countywide programs in the last 12 months could be eligible for discounted fares:

  • Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)
  • Publicly Funded Child Care (PFCC)
  • Ohio Works First Cash Assistance (OWF)
  • Prevention, Retention, and Contingency Emergency Assistance (PRC)
  • Medicaid
  • Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF)

In order to receive the discount, residents must bring proof of participation in one of the above programs to COTA’s Customer Experience Center located at 33 North High Street.
